Central Park: Introduction


The section covers different parts of the curriculum especially in History, English and PSHE and Citizenship.

Most obvious examples are in:

1. History - it could be used as a local history study (with focus on Central Park, but also East Ham as a whole). It also covers WW2 and Victorians.

2. English - the large amount of audio interviews can be used for speaking and listening skills and group activities.

3. Geography – the WW1 section and Victorian section have activities involving study of atlases, globes, and maps.

4. PSHE and Citizenship - for their personal awareness and knowledge of East Ham and Central Park, their understanding of their local environment and physical activities they can take part
